What is Pinterest?
They say a picture is worth 1,000 words. Pinterest is the latest evolution of social media. While Facebook and Twitter use words to draw people’s attention, Pinterest relies on captivating images.
Why should you check out Pinterest?
Pinterest is great for discovering, organizing, and inspiring.
Pinterest allows you to easily surf topics such as “golf” and discover new products and places that you otherwise would not have seen. Click the image to learn more and pin them and share with your new findings with your friends.
If you’re having a party and looking for design inspiration you can see what others have done. When you’re finished snap a few pics and share with the community.
You can create pinboards of any topics you choose to organize your interests. Example: create a board called “golf course bucket list.” You can pin images of all the golf courses you want to play and share the board with your Facebook friends, Twitter followers, and email contacts as well as the Pinterest community.

Starting today, FreeBirdee has a Pinterest button attached to each article. If you like a product, story, or golf course on FreeBirdee, click the “Pin It” button. You then choose which of your pinboards to attach it to. The image from the site will automatically be pulled as well as a summary of the story. When someone sees your pin they can click it and be taken to the original story. You can organize your favorite products, apparel, courses whatever you choose.

We are really excited to launch FreeBirdee. FreeBirdee is free to all golfers. You can play golf; where and when you want to at an unbelievable price.
FreeBirdee began with a question over beers between two golfers with a shared passion for golf and the web, “What if you could create a web app that could make golf a better game?” The three topics that we felt we could address with FreeBirdee:
1. Lowering the expense to play golf
2. Access to quality golf facilities
3. Saving golfers time
Some of the problems that we heard from golfers that we tried to solve:
Golf is expensive. We’ve addressed this by giving you free access to a daily deal offering golf rounds, lessons, golf equipment, apparel, and other offers from cool local businesses with discounts normally 50% to 90% off retail. We want to save you serious money, so you can play more golf. You can also earn credits by referring friends which you can use toward future deals.
Tee times are a pain. Nobody likes to predict the weather and pluck down their credit card for a tee time reservation. FreeBirdee doesn’t offer tee times. We offer, in most cases, an unrestricted round of golf that you can play when you want to before the expiration date.
Tee time websites are ugly and confusing. It’s sad when it’s easier to book an airline ticket than a round of golf. At least, when you search for an airline ticket you see all available flights on one site like Expedia. For golf, you have to check each golf course individually. Worse is to look at a tee time site that only offers tee times at times that don’t work for you at courses you have no interest in playing. FreeBirdee is designed to be simple.
